Vendor Spotlight
I had the pleasure of working with Zeke this past weekend. He and his staff not only prepared a tasty, beautiful menu, they were amazing to work with! Hard working, professional and always willing to help where needed to insure the event flowed smoothly for the guests and the bride and groom. Zeke added many additional freebies for this couple (place settings, candle lighting. dining seating arrangements etc...) . He worked with their budget and pulled off a gorgeous, gourmet affair for 2o0 guests. I highly, highly recommend Zeke's Catering!

Me and Food

I seem to be drawn to writing posts about food lately. I'm a lover of cuisine and clearly remember my favorite bell that rang at school...the lunch bell!! I was the kid that ate everything on the flimsy plastic tray and the leftovers from my friends. I wasn't a chubby kid, I just appreciated a good or even tasteless meal.
I had the pleasure of munching on a few, ok like four, of these fortune cookies the other day. My hubby brought them home and thought I'd like to try them out and recommend to my peeps. Ok I never say peeps but it reads well.
YUM, YUM, YUM!!! They are so tasty!!! Who doesn't like everything dipped in chocolate?? You can customize your fortune also. Customization is always cool too. (you'll notice from previous posts, I LOVE customization). Your cookies can be dipped in white, dark, multi-colored chocolate, peanut butter or butterscotch, then decorated with cute tiny sprinkles (tiny heart sprinkles too!).

Don't you love personalized postage!!

(1888PressRelease) April 29, 2009 - With summer weddings quickly approaching – and new postage rates changing in May - brides now have a new selection of custom wedding postage from which to choose. Popular designs include customized postage for June through October with summer and fall colors to tie into the wedding invitation.
Custom postage stamps give brides and wedding planners the freedom to customize all of the details of the wedding correspondence. No longer limited by the selection available at the Post Office, brides can add a unique look to their wedding envelopes with creative use of custom postage.
For summer brides, soft colors of cream, lilac, peach and rose are featured on stamps with customization options for monograms or dates. New designs also include roses, calla lilies, beach themes and the always popular, elegant black and white. Fall seasonal stamps include deep brown, orange, amber and gold. New vintage designs have also been added for brides looking for the nostalgic, old fashioned look for their wedding postage. Popular designs include damask and floral patterns.
Custom wedding postage designs can be customized for the bride and groom with their date, monogram, or a line from their wedding vows. “Lately, more and more brides are looking to create personalized postage with a custom monogram or wedding logo” said Annie Slentz, graphic designer. Monogram choices include adding wedding flowers such as calla lilies, roses, orchids, tulips and bouquets. Brides can also indulge in wedding cake postage with their initials, dates or other custom lettering. Customized wedding photo postage can also add a distinct touch to the save the date or thank you envelopes.
Postage stamps are available in three different sizes and a variety of denominations for postcards, square or unusual sized mailings and heavier invitations. The 2009 postage rates are available as shown below:
$0.28 postcards

Springtime Trends
Food Monograms
Monograms are starting to show up in unconventional ways. It used to be just the cake or the aisle runner, but couples are starting to place them on all kinds of food. Steaks are being branded at barbeque receptions, and skilled baristas could add your monogram to your guests’ froth!
